With museums around the world closed for the foreseeable future, we have launched a video series for you to learn about art from your home. Each lecture is about two minutes and discusses one of the artworks covered in the Amuze app. The first Amuze Art Lecture is about the Portrait of a Girl Dressed in Blue by Johannes Verspronck. It is part of the collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and can be seen in their Gallery of Honour. When visiting the Rijksmuseum, it is easy to be overwhelmed by the masterpieces of Frans Hals, Rembrandt, and Johannes Vermeer. But in between works of those masters is also this wonderful portrait by the lesser-known Johannes Verspronck.
We hope you will enjoy this 2-minute discussion, and we will continue to make more of these videos. Just check out our YouTube channel to see all our videos. Cheers, Eelco
